Back to this carved top. I've roughed in the neck before gluing. Going to put a thin piece of wenge between quilt and mahogany.

 The light really washes the quilt out but this top is going to be awesome.

Here is a look at the quilt top being glued up.

Got the top glued and clamped.

Here's a shot of the back after being ruff cut.

And a shot of the top after being ruff cut.  Hopefully I can start carving this thing out soon.

All for now on this project. Next we are ready to flip it over and carve the top.

Obviously a few hours  later the back has been roughly carved along with the control cavity.

Next I rough cut the body shape on the band saw.

I routed out the tone chambers which also helps the weight issue.
