Back to this carved top. I've roughed in the neck before gluing. Going to put a thin piece of wenge between quilt and mahogany.

Â The light really washes the quilt out but this top is going to be awesome.

Here is a look at the quilt top being glued up.

Got the top glued and clamped.

All for now on this project. Next we are ready to flip it over and carve the top.

Obviously a few hoursÂ later the back has been roughly carved along with the control cavity.

Next I rough cut the body shape on the band saw.

Finally the top cap is glued to the body.

I routed out the tone chambers which also helps the weight issue.
